The 11th International Symposium on Lead and Zinc Processing 2026 (Lead-Zinc 2026) aims to serve as a global platform for the comprehensive exchange of advancements in lead and zinc processing technologies, as well as to unite corporate engineers, on-site operating managers, university researchers, and other professionals to facilitate the sharing of diverse technical and academic insights related to lead and zinc processing methodologies. Prior to the general presentations, the international symposium will feature plenary lectures by leading experts to give a highly specialized and useful technical contents. Additionally, a tour of lead and zinc smelters in the Tohoku and other regions will be held after symposium.

Specific technical topics for Lead-Zinc 2026 include, but are not limited to:

  1. Plant Operations: General operating technology at lead and zinc smelters
  2. Pyrometallurgy: Practical technologies and fundamental researches related to the high-temperature processing
  3. Hydrometallurgy: Extractive metallurgy using chemical reactions in aqueous solutions
  4. Electrometallurgy: Advancements in lead and zinc electrolytic refining technology
  5. Secondary Lead-Zinc: Recycling raw materials and waste treatment technology at lead and zinc smelters
  6. Mineral Processing: Technologies related to the preliminary treatment of ores as well as secondary raw materials
  7. By-products: Methods for the treatment and management of smelting by-products
